Accepting Silver Liberty Dollars
By: David

Since
Citizen Reporter lasted reported in July, 2002 on the Aroostook County
Businesses accepting NORFED's silver Liberty dollar, many additional businesses
have signed on to accepting the 100% silver-backed currency.
NORFED stands
for the National Organization to Repeal the Federal Reserve Act. Formed in
1998 in Evansville, Indiana, NORFED is a private company who has taken the
initiative to provide a constitutional money and educate consumers and business
owners where the government has been decidedly quiet - in economics and money
systems.
Gold and silver
coin is the only money authorized by our Constitution because it retains its
value and prohibits massive, unpayable debt.
Because our
politicians do not ahve the intestinal fortitude to return us to a gold/silver
standard (as the welfare state could not survivie with "honest" money
- only our currenct debt-based money) businesses across the country are
voluntarily accepting the silver Liberty dollars and certificates at par with
the Federal Reserve's notes.
Available in a
$10 .999 silver coin or $1, $5, and $10 silver certificates, the following
Aroostook businesses will accept Liberty dollars for either full or partial
payment. New Liberty merchants are highlighted in bold print.:

Banks don't loan you
their money; they loan you your money.
By: David
Deschesne
"The people of the
United State of all peoples should be most versed in the science of money, and
at the present moment it might almost seem that they are the most ignorant."
- An Alphabet in Finance, Graham McAdam, ©1876, p. 208.
Through a
little-known banking scheme called the "created deposit" banks, as
well as all credit card companies (which are banks), use the bookkeeping trick
of ledger-entry accounting to loan money to their customers which was never the
bank's to begin with.
Banks don't
loan their own money, nor do they loan their depositors' money. The money
on deposit only serves as a limiter as to how much new artificial money they can
create - they usually must keep 10% of their assets (outstanding loans) on hand
as cash deposits, but the money on deposit is never loaned out; new money is
simply created at the time of a loan much the same way as a counterfeiter plies
his craft. For the duration of this article you may also read
"loan" as "credit card agreement", too, since they are
essentially the same thing.
When you walk
into a bank, and sign a Promissory Note (or credit card agreement) the bank
accepts the note for value and comes into possession of what is known ass a negotiable
instrument. They assign a dollar value to it equivalent to the amount
of the loan and designate it as an "asset" (+) on their books.
They then write a check, with no money in the account, and issue it to
you. This check is entered on their books as a "liability" (-).
Since the two amounts offset each other, the bank's books remain balanced.
Whenever you read about a bank increasing their assets by so-many millions of
dollars, they are only referring to the negotiable instruments they increased
(promissory notes) plus, perhaps some new office furniture of a new building.
Once you take
that bogus check with no money in it and deposit it (they will usually do that
for you) the "new" money is actually created at the time of the
deposit. Since there is actually no money in the bank's check which was
loaned to you, the money was simply entered in to your account by a technique
known as ledger-entry accounting, or, as most books on economics call
it: created deposit. (That new money then becomes part of their 10%
cash reserves, which will enable them to create up to 90% more new money
tomorrow!)
This technique
can be best illustrated by having you, the bank's customer, going behind the
counter, typing your checking or savings account number into the computer and
just entering a number in the deposit column out of thin air..."Poof!"
You now have money in your account that didn't exist before.
Now that the
system of creating money is understood, please understand that the bank only
creates the principle for the loan, not the interest. Because all money in
existence is borrowed into existence in this way, the interest must be paid
with, yet, somebody else's borrowed money. For all practical purposes, the
bank took something of value from the borrower (the signature), monetized it
(created new, artificial money) and loaned the borrower's money back to him.
When a bank forecloses on a house or business, they are taking a building which
they never paid for. It was paid for with the monetized signature of the
borrower which was stolen from him, by the bank, without him knowing it.
Evidence that
all money is borrowed is seen on what we have come to know as "cash"
today - the Federal Reserve Note. The Federal Reserve Note is just what it
is - a Note - or, borrowed money. It is owed back to a bank somewhere in
the United States at some point in the future, with interest. All
"legal" US banks belong to the Federal Reserve system, which is a
collection of private commercial banks from England, Germany, France, and Italy
which our government authorized to create money in this way, back in 1913, with
the passage of the "Federal Reserve Act." The word
"Federal" in Federal Reserve is a misnomer, for they are a private
bank and are no more a branch of our government than Federal Express or
Federal Ammunition Company.
This technique
of created deposits is taught in virtually all major college economics textbooks
worth their salt and is codified in the Uniform Commercial Code at both the
State and Federal Levels. It's just too bad we, as a society, have been
taught not to think, read or research by our government-run school system; only
how to hitch ourselves to the harness of an unpayable, perpetually increasing
debt.
Can
Patriotism Endanger Our Rights?
Editor: Bill of
Rights Sentinal
Jews for the Preservation of
Firearms Ownership
In the 1950’s and
1960’s, patriotic Americans without question respected the flag, elected
officials, judges, military men and women, and police officers. We trusted our
institutions and the people who served in them.
We so trusted our leaders and institutions
that we did not protect the bedrock of our nation. We fought against the radical
destroyers, but we neglected to understand what we were defending.
We forgot about the power of ideas. Powerful
ideas inspired the Founders to throw off a dictatorship by force and build a new
nation. Thomas Paine in 1776 wrote essays that stirred American colonists to
fight the British Empire - that’s the power of ideas.
Yet today we have several generations of
Americans who flatly do not understand the principles of limited government,
separation of powers, the rule of law and the unalienable rights of citizens.
People on the Left actively want government to legislate (or adjudicate) away
all problems and take care of everybody by running their lives. People on the
Right oppose the Left but continue to trust government like patriots of
yesteryear. The result is: more firmly entrenced government, and the destruction
of individual rights and freedom.
What made America the freest and most
prosperous nation in human history were ideas, not elected officials, judges,
the military or police. The power of America is in the ideas of liberty, limited
government that serves the people, freedom of speech and religion, independence
of judges, due process, fair trials, election of leaders, and the right to keep
and bear arms. The greatest blessing America ever received was a Constitution
and Bill of Rights that installed these powerful ideas into the permanent law
and fabric of society.
To be true American patriots, we must love and
cherish American values - not individual leaders or officials. Instead of
rallying behind a newly elected President, we must rally behind the Bill of
Rights. Patriotic Americans must hold our leaders to their sacred oath to
protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
We cannot expect our elected representatives,
President, and judges to preserve our heritage. Good old-fashioned patriotism
hurts us when it becomes a cheerful but toothless defender. We need a new
patriotism - the true patirotism of our Founders - a patriotism of powerful
ideas. A patriotism of action.
The
Mysterious Death of Dr. Diesel
By: Josh
Tickell
When Rudolph Diesel unveiled
the diesel engine at the 1900 World's Fair in Paris, France, he shocked
reputable scientists by pouring peanut oil into the engine. It is not
surprising that Diesel designed the diesel engine to run on vegetable oil
considering that this brilliant inventor spent his childhood in the agricultural
provinces of France and Germany. He grew up around farmers, and knew of
their troubles and needs. Diesel promoted the benefits of using
agricultural fuel throughout his career. In 1913, Diesel was on a trip
across the English Channel when he disappeared. A few days later his body
was found afloat. The British newspapers suggested the Dr. Diesel was
assassinated by foreign agents. After Diesel's death, the idea of fueling
engines with vegetable oil was quickly and quietly swept under the rug.
His original designs were modified, and diesel engines were made to run on the
cheapest most abundant fuel available: petroleum.

Conversations
in the Street
When a man meets a woman in
the street with whom he is acquainted and is desirous of speaking with her, he
lifts his hat and, coming to her side, walks beside her. If he meets a woman
friend walking alone, or accompanied by a woman to whom he is at once introduced
or whom he already knows, he is privileged to ask permission to accompany the
lady to her destination. Should she enter a shop or church, he holds the door
open for her and lifts his hat as she passes in, but he may not follow, except
at her invitation or when that is his destination also. When a man and woman
meet in the street, the woman may prefer to stand to listen to what her
acquaintance has to say and may even prolong the conversation; a man, however,
even when meeting his mother or sister, should not assume this privilege, but
leave the woman to take the initiative. A man has no right to join a woman on
the street if she is accompanied by a gentleman whom he does not know. Friends
who meet in the street and halt for conversation should draw well to one side of
the walk.-Encycl. of Etiquette, Emily Holt, © 1920.
God's Divine Plan Encoded in Genesis
God’s Divine plan seems to be encoded in the book of Genesis in the names of
the men from Adam to Noah. The Old
Testament was written in the Hebrew language just as the first five books, also
known as the Torah.
Below is a list of the men, in order that they appear, and the Hebrew
definition of their names. The
story is read vertically under the “Hebrew definition” column.
Implied conjunctions and prepositions are included in parenthesis.

Last month Citizen Reporter informed our
readers of the inalienable rights of Americans. As promised, we will continue to
pick up where public school falls short in the teaching of any form of Civics
classes by reprinting from a Civics textbook rescued from antiquity...
"If you have political rights of which,
even by your own will, you can not divest yourself, and which are therefore
properly called inalienable, so you have political duties which also you can not
justly neglect or lay aside.
It is your duty as an American citizen to obey
the laws, even if they are, in your belief, unjust or unwise. General Grant once
shrewdly said that the best way to procure the repeal of an unjust or unwise law
was to rigorously enforce it. It is your right to expose the folly or injustice
of a law, to demand its repeal, and to try to get a majority to repeal it. But
while it remains a law, you are to obey it (CR: unless it compels you to
violate God’s word).
It is your duty, if you are of age and a man,
to vote at all elections, and to inform yourself beforehand what measures and
men you ought as a good citizen to support.
It is our duty to insist upon the prompt
execution of the laws; to be ready, even at much personal inconvenience, to aid
in their enforcement, if you are called upon by proper officers; and to resent
with indignation every sign of lawlessness and violence, and require its
vigorous suppression. For instance, if a riot should break out in a city where
you are living, you are not to go out of town until it subsides; but you are to
hasten to offer your support to the authorities, and to require their prompt and
decisive action to restore order.
It is your duty - if you are a voter - to
serve, when called on, as a grand or petit juror; and this at even great
inconvenience.
It is your duty, if you are a man, to serve in
the militia, if the law commands it; and every American voter ought to have a
sufficient knowledge of the manual and use of arms to enable him to act
efficiently if called out as part of the posse comitatus to put down a
riot.
It is your duty to act generally with some
political party, and to exert your influence upon its leaders to induce the
nomination of capable and honest men for office. And it is your duty, if your
party nominates a bad man, to vote against him, and thus keep the public and
general good before your eyes, and set an example of true public spirit before
your fellows. It is your duty to watch the conduct of public officers, to see
that they perform their duties and observe their constitutional limitations; and
if they do not, then it is your duty to help to expose them, and at the
elections to punish them. For it is only by such vigilance that a nation can
preserve its liberties unimpaired.
These are your political duties, which you can
not neglect or abjure without disgrace to yourself and harm to
the country." - Politics for Young Americans, Charles Nordhof, ©
1875.
Most people in the United States today are
unaware of their rights or duties as the rulers of their own country and
government. Many Americans today exhibit a form of "superficial
patriotism."
"A Superficial Patriot is one who
believes that the only thing required of him to be patriotic is to wave a flag
and "support our troops." The flag has no meaning to him other than
‘everyone else is waving it,’ and he generally has no idea that our troops -
our military - whom he claims to be supporting, have been systematically abused
and deprived by the government they serve throughout history. He has no concept
of that abuse, nor would he be interested in helping them if he were apprised of
the situation. He is generally a good person, just intellectually lazy, and
historically somnolent.
He reads no history, does no research and
takes what the government-controlled news media dispenses as gospel. He spends
more time watching television sit-coms and sports programs than he does
understanding his duties as an American. Most Superficial Patriots have never
even read the Constitution which they claim to be supporting. They don’t
involve themselves with political affairs, don’t know their local
representatives’ or senators’ names and wouldn’t know how to research
public laws, or bills up for vote in the legislature, if they had to.
